creating charleston weddings

I have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus lately, but how fair is it to keep the charm of Charleston to myself? From discovering secret gardens to watching dolphins swim from the palm tree lined boardwalks to floating down cobblestone streets lined with pastel colored houses, I fall in love with the city more and more each day. As if living in Charleston isn’t enough to make a girl giddy with happiness, I am also working at Charleston Weddings magazine as their fall editorial intern. Dreamy, right?!

I am only on week two working at the magazine and already had the opportunity to participate in a top secret photo shoot for our Spring 2015 issue! While I’m not allowed to give any specific details away, I can promise that you’re in for a treat! But then again, what Charleston Weddings issue isn’t a treat?

At the photo shoot we worked alongside the lovely wedding photographer KT Merry. Have you checked out her images? She specializes in destination weddings and travels all over the world. Her photos are absolutely gorgeous! Gathering Events took care of all the floral arrangements and did not disappoint! Heather and Mary Ruth were such team players, waking up at 4 a.m. to prepare, and were still going strong thirteen hours later with smiles on their faces. It was so much fun to see behind the scenes and take part in creating Charleston Weddings.

After the morning photo shoot, Bliss & Bokeh, a wedding photography retreat, took place! Many wedding scenarios were set up and the women were coached by photographer Elisa Bricker. I am so blessed to have met so many wonderfully talented people in the industry, and all in one day!

P.S. Did I mention it was pouring all day long? Rainy days can’t put a damper on photo shoot days! To me, it was just an excuse to sport my cute rain boots (found through the oh so stylish laurlovespink). They were such a hit at the Bliss & Bokeh retreat!
